Brussels Livestock report
Top quality steer, heifer prices drop $2
The sales at Brussels Livestock
for the week ending July 17 were:
fed cattle, 512; cows, 269; veal and
bob calves, 444; lambs and goats,
204.
The top quality steers and heifers
sold at prices $2 lower with the
second cut selling $3 lower. The
cows traded $2 lower. There were
326 steers on offer selling from $87
to $92 to the high of $100. Twenty-
nine steers consigned by Leroy
Gould, Exeter, averaging 1,401 lbs.
sold for an average of $91.22 with
a limousin steer weighing 1,340
lbs. selling to Norwich Packers for
$99.75.. -
