The daughter of Bert and Ena Craig and the son of William and Alice Archambault were united in marriage by Rev. Harold Snell and Rev. Hewitt. That 1948 wedding service was the first held in Auburn United Church. Bridal attendants were the groom's sister Edna, a friend of the bride Joan Baechler and the flower- girl Betty Lou Robinson. Best man was Glenn Patterson, while the ush- ers were Earl Craig and Roy Faulkner. Following the wedding the Archambaults honeymooned at the Thousand Islands then on to Mon- treal. Their first home was rented across from the farm now owned by their son Rick. They resided on the farm for 30 years, then built the house on the other farm when Rick married 17 years ago. Besides Rick the Archambaults also raised Doug, Brenda and Marilyn. Describing themselves as semi- retired Len still goes to the farm at night and in the morning to help with chores. Betty belongs to Eastern Star Women's Institute and Len likes to play cards on Tuesdays. Both used to enjoy square dancing and curl- ing. A special celebration was held on Multiple Sclerosis SOCIETY OF CANADA June 27 at the Blyth arena in hon- our of the Archambaults' 50th anniversary. Special guests attend- ed from Barrie, Goderich, Blyth, Auburn, Sarnia, Belgrave, Clinton, Stratford, Bluevale and Wingham.
