door prize was won by Nelva Scott.
Ruth Sauve then honoured Leah
with a reading and presentation on
her upcoming marriage.
The group was very' pleased to
have co-ordinator Joan Van der
Meer with them. Also many thanks
to the two helpers from the

12 members present.
Leona Armstrong, president,
opened the meeting with a poem
entitled "Friendship, Love and
Laughter", followed by a short
prayer.
Arm Brabender, secretary, read
the minutes of the April meeting.
The volunteer appreciation night
and the Mother's Day Tea were
discussed. Next year both
Huronview and Huronlea will each

Mother's Day Tea was a great
success some suggestions were
made for improvement.
Dini Nethery, treasurer, gave her

Marjorie Duizer volunteered to
make and donate "Welcome Cards"
to give to new residents.
The calendar of events for the
month of June was discussed and

several activities. People in the
community are to be encouraged to
drop in and have a friendly visit
with a resident.
"Life Story Booklets" are being
worked on, which will be very
useful for-staff and volunteers
when visiting.
If anyone from the community
could come in once a month to play
a musical instrument in the secured
area it would be appreciated. Call
887-9267. Brabender handed• out
the fire procedure for volunteers
and discussed the information.
A motion was made for the
auxiliary to not meet during July
and August. The June meeting will
be held Monday, June 15 at 10 a.m.
