The week began with Kyle Griffith's uncle, Officer Allan Dickson and his dog Kane, from the Kitchener/Waterloo canine unit, giving demonstrations on what his dog can do. Kane is from the Czech Republic and has been with the officer for three years now. They both had to go into training together for 15 weeks. The children were amazed as the dog would sniff out and find certain objects that the officer would throw out into the field. With the dog on his leash Officer Dickson showed how the dog was trained to attack on command. After the demonstrations the officer answered questions. Then it was time for 'Kids on the Block' puppet show.
