Brussels
People
It's a long ride by Greyhound bus
to Fayetteville, NC as Mildred
Jacklin realized after leaving
London at 11:15 on April 20.
She arrived at Fayetteville at 3
p.m. on April 21 and found the
time went fairly quickly.
Evelyn Demaray met her and
after driving around the city, taking
in the beauty of the flowers, they
went to Myrtle Beach where they
stayed overnight. They drove
around sightseeing for part of the
day, taking m the Dixie Stampede
dinner show from 5 p.m. to
7:30 p.m.
Then they decided to start out for
the state of Georgia, stopping
overnight, then continuing on
through Georgia back through
North Carolina, Virginia and New
York states, crossing back into
Ontario from Buffalo.
The weather was perfect, very
warm and sunny, and noticeably
cooler as they came farther north.
Evelyn stayed overnight with the
Jacklins, visiting as many friends
and relatives as time permitted,
before heading on to London.
