The students departed Toronto, March 11, for Montreal, where they flew to Paris, before settling into homes in Alencon area. Arriving in Paris at 8 a.m., March 12, they climbed the stairs of the Eiffel Tower and participated in some interesting events, said Fal- coner and Oster. They travelled through the tunnel where Princess Diana was killed and walked to the L' Arc de Triom- phe. A reflective moment came when they visited the Canadian war cemetery and saw large bomb holes along the shores of Normandy. Falconer noticed the high cost of electricity because the home in which she stayed was kept cooler than here. The showers were only two to three minutes long, too, said Oster.
