VILLAGE OF BLYTH 1ST INSTALMENT OF TAXES DUE The first instalment of taxes for the Village of Blyth is due on Thursday, March 26, 1998. Payment may be made at the Blyth Branch of the CIBC or at the Municipal Office. Interest at 1 1/4% per month or any part thereof shall be charged after the due date. Please note that people who have acquired properties and have not received a tax bill should contact the Municipal Office. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve a taxpayer from responsibility for payment of taxes, nor from penalty for late payment. John Stewart, A.M.C.T. Vehicle stolen from church lot OPP are looking into the theft of an automobile from a church park- ing lot in Blyth. Police say that sometime during the evening of Wednesday, March 11, a 1984 brown Chevrolet Monte Carlo was stolen. Euchre is every Monday night at 8 p.m. Helpful donation For the fourth year, the Blyth Legion has donated to the students at Hullett Central Public School so they may take swimming lessons at Vanastra this spring. Crystal Taylor presented the $800 cheque to Principal George Barker. Wheels Away prices change The price for rides on Wheels Away was mis-stated in the Blyth council report in the Feb. 25 issue of The Citizen. The price for patrons of the ser- vice will rise from $3 to $4 while the cost to council will go from $2 to $3 per ride.
