AGRICORP launches
customer action centre
AGRICORP is pleased to
announce the launch of its
Customer Action Centre. This new
customer service innovation makes
it possible for farmers to have their
crop insurance questions answered
with just one quick, toll free phone
call to 1-888-AGRI-999.
The implementation of the
Centre runs hand in hand with
AGRICORP's territory managers
(formerly known as district co-
ordinators) moving out of
OMAFRA offices to operate from
their homes. Farmers wishing to
meet with their territory manager
can call the toll free line and an
appointment will be made for a
personal visit.
The customer service
representatives who will staff the
Centre, have recently undergone an
intensive seven week training
program covering topics such as
delivering effective customer
service, and product knowledge.
Utilizing the latest in customer
contact software, both the customer
service representatives and territory
managers will have access to the
same data allowing correct, timely
and consistent responses.
Tom Schmidt, AGRICORP's
chief executive officer says, "We're
pleased to be providing farmers
with this service. Introducing the
Customer Action Centre is
consistent with AGRICORP's
objective of providing quality
service to our customers. I'm sure
they will enjoy its convenience. We
estimate that 85 per cent of the
questions we receive can be
answered the first time. This will
free up time for our field force who
can then concentrate on building
relationships with our customers by
identifying and advising them on
their risk management needs".
Farmers can call the Customer
Action Centre toll free to obtain
product information, claim cheque
status, make new applications,
insure new crops, report crop
damage, change their coverage and
for general inquiries.
Between Dec. 1 and April 15,
farmers will be able to phone
between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday
to Friday. During the peak season,
between April 15 and Nov. 30, the
Centre will be staffed between 7:30
a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday to
Friday.
