Brussels students do speeches
Continued from page 2
doing speeches within the
classroom about their pets or their
family. They arc having a lot of fun
learning about each other.
In Science, Grade 4 is doing a
unit on water. They've been doing
many experiments and tests on
water. They started to say their
speeches on Feb. 26. This is their
first year saying them within the
school.
On Wednesday, Grade 5 made
salt clay out of salt, (of course)
flour, alum and water. They also
had a music test on how to read
music. In math they're drawing
shapes on gco paper. They had to
draw a shape without lifting up
their pencil.
In band Grade 6(7 is learning to
play Colours of the Wind. In math
they are working on probability.
They get to pick cards that have
probability or pattern problems on
them. It's lots of fun considering it's
math of course.
On Feb. 17 they went to
Huronlca. They madg haiku poems
and Katie brought bunnies for the
residents to pet.
Grade 7/8 is working on
geometry and angles. They've made
some really neat pictures of lines
and angles. In Canadian studies
they are studying the history of
Godcrich. They enjoy learning
about the community.
