Receiving recognition
It was a very busy and pleasant weekend for Leona
Armstrong, retired reeve of Grey Twp., when both her
fellow councillors and the community recognized her
contribution to the area over her past 23 years in public
life. An evening of memories and congratulations were
enjoyed at the BMG arena as friend, family and politicians
gathered, Saturday, to thank Armstrong for her efforts. On
Sundays-Armstrong was awarded the Brussels Citizen of
the Year honour at a ceremony at Melville Presbyterian
Church. On the left: The Citizen representative, Sheila
Richards and Leona Armstrong. To the right; Grey Twp.
