inspiring worship service.

hosts visitors
Dr. Glen and Marilyn Oliver
from Allentown, PA visited with
friends in the Walton area over the
New Year celebration.
As the children went to the front
the children's chorus Go Tell It On
the Mountain was sung. Rev. Ross
showed the children a new calendar
with a train picture. He spoke to
them about special people, like
Baden Powell who did special
things.
Rev. Ross asked them to try daily
to do something special, something
that would help others. Trains, he
said, do certain routes each day
which help others. They closed
with prayer.
The hymn What Child is This?
was sung.
Old testament reading was from
Isaiah 60 telling of the glory that
would become available to the
Gentiles. The reading from
Matthew 2 was on the wisemen
who were sent to Bethlehem. They
followed the star to Christ's
birthplace and brought their gifts to
him.
The hymn The Race that Long in
Darkness Pined was sung.
A very worthwhile sermon by
Rev. Ross on "Missing Persons"
was then given closing with prayer
and The Lord's Prayer said in
unison.
Collection was received,
doxology sung and offertory prayer
given.
The last three verses of The First
Noel was the closing hymn
followed by the Benediction and
