The South Bruce Grey Police reported an incident at 2:45 a.m, Dec. 5, when a pickup truck received approximately $4(M) dam­ age when a rock was thrown through the window of the moving vehicle. The truck was owned by Murray Fischer of RR3, Brussels. Elizabeth (Betty) Gwendolyn Lloyd Nethery of Huronview Home and formerly of Blyth passed away on Dec. 6, 1999 in her 69th year. Mrs. Nethery was born in Oshawa on Sept. 3, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Mearitt and Anita Lloyd. She was a member of the Blyth United Church. Mrs. Nethery was the loving mother of Cynthia Rose Nethery of Calgary, Alta., John Gilbert and Linda Nethery of Courtright, Mark Steven Nethery of Clinton, Eric David and Kim Nethery of Blenheim and Anita Ann and Alex Hansen of Seaforth. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jessica, John, Stephanie, Christo­ pher, Corey, Jamie, Randy, Natalie, Trevor and Taylor. She was the dear sister of Vivian (Mrs. William Morrison) of Parry Sound. Mrs. Nethery was predeceased by her parents, oldest sister and a grandson Brandon Lammerant. Friends were received at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd.“Tasker Chapel”, Blyth on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service was held at the Blyth Unit­ ed Church on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ernest Dow officiat­ ed. Interment was in Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. “We will all miss her presence, but then again she will always be in our hearts now and forever.” Tools stolen from hydro shed On Dec. 7 at approximately 9:30 a.m. a break-in was reported at a portable shed on the west side of County Rd. 12 in Walton next to McGavin Farm Equipment. An employee tor Ontario Hydro, which owns the shed, reported that sometime after 6 p.m. Dec. 6 and before 6 a.m. Dec. 7 a door was forced open gaining entry to the interior of the trailer. Once inside, two Dewait circular saws, one Milwaukee Sawzall saw and a. Honda I 10-volt generator were stolen. The theft is valued at over $3,000. Anyone who can help the Huron OPP in recovering the stolen property is asked to call the local office or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 222-8477(TIPS).
