Bernice Gross was the pianist welcoming all with Christmas music. Rev. Paul Ross lit the Advent candle and brought church announcements to the congregation’s attention. Several children pinned seals on the Christmas scene. In the Sunday School pageant the wise men. UCW hear of family’s angels, baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph all played significant parts. Christmas hymns were sung throughout it. The cast was dressed in appropriate clothing. The Sunday School teachers are to be thanked for the children's excellent portrayal. The cast went to the Sunday School at the closing. Offering was presented by Janice and James Whytock followed by doxology and offertory prayer. Mr. and Mrs. Whytock also greeted the congregation as they arrived for the service. Rev. Ross closed the service with a blessing for this special season. THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 1999. The Lions Club had them for guests here recently and Londesboro UCW invited the Auburn United Church Women to see them there. During the Knox United Service on Sunday, Dec. 12. Rev. Paul and Ruth Ross were called to the front and Margaret Bakker presented them with a gift. This was to thank them for excellent service to the church and congregation. They are appreciated.
