He is doing well and is walking again. David Bowles returned from hospital in London as well and is recuperating at home. The community sends best wishes to both David and Creg. Fretz Welding Repair and the Fretz family won a prize for their entry in the Brussels Santa Claus parade last Saturday. This was well deserved as the Fretz children had Community Hall. Scores were as follows: high lady, Linda Stevens; high man, Neil Hatt; low lady, Velma Sleightholm; low man, Donald Clark; most lone hands, lady, Maxine Hinz; most lone hands, man, Mac Smith; travelling lone hand, Shirley Verstoep; tally cards, Hank Lawrence, Leslie Knight, Mary Davidson and Helen Gallop. Ten tables played euchre last Friday evening in the Cranbrook Grey man hurt in crash A Grey Twp. man received minor injuries in a motor vehicle accident when he swerved to avoid a raccoon. At approximately 7 p.m.on Dec. 2, Brett Fischer, 20, was westbound in a pickup, on County Rd. 16, three km. from County Rd. 4, approaching a bridge when a rac­ coon ran in front of him, said the OPP report. He lost control of his vehicle, Struck the bridge rail and ended up across the opposite lane. Linda Bird, 41, of Morris Twp., approaching the scene from the west in a van, applied the brakes and attempted to avoid the colli­ sion. She struck the truck in the right front fender. Woman treated for injuries A single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Augusta Street and County Rd. 86 in East Wawanosh Twp. sent a 54-year-old woman to hospital, Nov. 29. Margaret Greig of Howick Twp. was eastbound on County Rd. 86 at approximately 6:30 p.m., when she lost control of the van on slippery roads. She spun out and the van entered the ditch, rolling onto its roof, said the OPP report. The van continued to slide, striking two cement poles.
