She Walked in the Summer. The sermon was called, Transforming Ways. It was gingerbread house making this week for the Walton kindergartens. Some very delicious looking houses went out the doors on Friday. Thanks to all the moms and dads and grandmas who came in to help the students decorate their houses. The Grade l/2s have completed making their vehicles with wheels and axles that turn. They presented them to the class by telling what each was, showing how the wheels tum and naming the materials they used to build them. The class identified for each child, three things that they like about the vehicle and one way the child could improve. In math, the Grade 3s are studying measurement, experimenting with mass linear and liquid measurement. In creative writing the students wrote the stories based on a story entitled. Boss for a Week and the changes they would make. Watch out Walton Public School! Congratulations to Grade 4s Bridget Blake, Kyle Griffiths and Jodi McIntosh who were the chosen winners of the Brussels Santa Claus Parade poster contest. Sandra Lawson, county engineer, explained to Huron County council, Dec. 2, that in order to meet dead lines for implementation of 911 emergency calling service in September of next year, all inter section and address posts must be installed by Dec. 10. This had taken local officials by surprise. The addresses must be in place because the county must send let ters by mid-December to all prop erty owners so they can compare the address on their sign with the address they’ve been assigned and make sure the signs are accurate. Bell and other local telephone com panies will then test the system early next year. County works staff at the Wrox- eter garage are busy making all the Brussels Library loses computer to thieves The Brussels Library was the last in a string of break-ins which took place during the night of Dec. 3. Thieves entered the library by prying open the front door. The interior was ransacked and an Azura Pentium II computer, key board and 17” colour monitor were stolen. The value is $2,200. Earlier vandals had entered John T. Henry Transport, Howick Homes, two Centre Street churches and the community centre all in Wroxeter and an Albert Street church and a Victoria Street build ing in Gorrie. The buildings were ransacked but nothing was found to be missing. intersection and property signs, Lawson said. To speed up the work the county is being loaned a second sign cutter. Municipalities may also be making use of Ontario Works clients to speed installation of signs. Hullett Reeve Bob Szusz said there were still some problems with addressing in some of the hamlets in his township. “Your signs are among the last we’re doing,” Lawson told him. “We're confident that once we get the signs cut we can help you get them up.” KiAe Klot-e 55 Main Street, Seaforth (519) 527-2320 thofOecemberi Gf ctfS 30% °F*1 ORESSE /o0 winter c° T GhiLStine’i Complete your home this Christmas with furnishings for thought!
