On Dec. 4 at home, the squad took complete control of a visiting Bayfield team trouncing them 18-1. Goals were scored Michael Seaforth edges Brussels For just his second stint in net, Ty Sebastian did a great job stop ping the many shots fired his way by the Seaforth squad when they visited the Brussels Tykes Saturday morning. A strong Seaforth team struck fast and often, putting Brussels behind 4 I by the end of the first. The combination of Brendan Stretton and Ray Huether made some very nice passes at attempts on the net in the first, but their shots were smothered. A breakaway by Danny Donkers was stopped when a challenger pre vented him getting the shot off. Matt Huether battled his former team throughout the contest, scor ing for Brussels at 4:53. Though tripped just as he made the shot, the puck slid through. Brussels pulled to within two when R. Huether took the puck out of the pack and glided in alone, deking the goalie at 7:42 of the sec ond. A minute and a half later, Runst- edler scored his first of the season when he took a shot from an angle and got it past the netminder. Stretton started the third period strong, taking two shots early, but was denied. Seaforth’s work around the net resulted in their fifth at 14:28. M. Huether tallied his second at Tykes host Zurich The Blyth Purple Tykes hosted Zurich on Saturday, Dec. 4. Not slowing, Brussels continued the attack with Runstedler having two excellent chances before R. Huether carried the puck in, passed to Stretton for the shot then picked up the rebound for the netter. With play in the home end for much of the game, good defensive work by Ryan Baker, Robert Cronin, Herbie Runstedler, Jordan Roberts and Nic Gowing kept Brussels in it.
