Christmas bags for
Christmas Bureau
Organizers of special Christmas

on last year's success of the
program designed to help boost the
Huron County Christmas Bureau.

Huron County this week is a
donation bag that can be used for
toys, clothing and food donated to
the bureau which helps provide
Christmas gifts to more than 1.000
county children whose families are
in need of extra help.
The bag is designed to remind
people of the need for their support
and to encourage them to bring the
donations to Christmas Bureau's
branches in communities across the
county.
The donation bag effort is an
initiative developed by a
partnership of area businesses and
industries, whose names appear on
the bag. and is spearheaded by The
Huron Expositor and the Seaforth
Lions Club and Agricultural
Society.
The two Seaforth organizations
worked with The Huron Expositor.
Same as last year, the bags will
be distributed through newspapers
across the county in the Nov. 24
editions.
Beginning Dec. 6 through Dec.
10, the Christmas Bureau branches
will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
to receive donations.

bags, can be left at St. George’s
Anglican Church in Goderich.

Pentecostal Church, the Seaforth
Agriplex at the fairgrounds,
sponsored by St. James Catholic
Church and the Ontario Street
United Church in Clinton.
They can also be taken to area
food banks.
While all donations are
appreciated, including financial
contributions, the Christmas
Bureau finds a shortage in clothing
in teen sizes and children’s sizes

The bureau is operated by the
Children's Aid Society of Huron
County and has been helping
families for more than 40 years.
