At a restructuring meeting in Seaforth Oct. 13, the committee members, municipal employees, and members of council heard staff reports prepared by the three clerk treasurers. Brad Knight, from Grey Twp. addressed first the issues of public works and transportation. To com pile the data, he met will the five road superintendents, then outlined all the equipment currently owned and operated. The report details the kilometres of road, the staff and services pro vided. At present, Knight said, there are 13 full-time employees, with addi tional part-time required usually during the winter. He showed them a recommended staff chart, which outlined the need for an overall transportation co-ordinator with a foreman in Seaforth with three employees, a foreman in Tucker smith with three employees, a fore man in McKillop with two employees and a foreman in Brus- sels/Grey with four employees. Four options were presented for the committee’s consideration: • to operate out of the three main facilities in Tuckersmith, Grey and McKillop • to consolidate all operations into one central facility (likely McKillop) • to consolidate all operations into two facilities (likely Grey and Tuckersmith) • to contract certain services for the county Brussels Clerk/Treasurer Donna White presented background infor mation on each of the water and sewer systems in Tuckersmith, Continued on page 36 CLASSIFIED MARKETPLACE "Advertise Across Ontario or Across the Country" COMING EVENTS WOODSTOCK MODEL TRAIN SHOW.
