Director’s Task Force
School Accommodation Review Consultation Process
The Avon Maitland District School Board invites applications
from persons with a business or financial background or
similar experience who are interested in volunteering to serve
on this central advisory committee. The committee of five
parents from School Councils and five residents with a
business background will provide advice to the Director and
Senior Staff from now until June 2000 on the School
Accommodation Review Process.
The Committee will meet at least monthly to brainstorm,
provide feedback on activities and information provided or
which could be provided, and to make suggestions on the
accommodation process. It will NOT be asked to help select
any schools for potential closure.
Applicants will send a letter stating why the person wishes to
be involved, their qualifications relevant to the work of the
Task Force and the contribution they seek to make. The
application deadline is October 18, 1999. The selection
process may involve short-listing and interview. All
submissions should be clearly labelled Director’s Task Force
and addressed to:
