g!999 Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion & Hobby Show
Food booths provide a bounty of delicious eats
Hours of fun, observation, conversation
and participation can lead to some big
hungers, but food booth operators at the
Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby
Association's 38th Reunion, are sure to
have a bounty of offers to satisfy any
palate.
There will be food booths strategically
placed around the grounds to make
quenching a hunger or thirst very easy.
Food will be available on several
locations around the park including in the
arena and near the working exhibits as
well as the popular bean pot situated just
behind the arena ball diamond. The Huron
County Museum cooks will be stirring the
bean pot as well as popping some corn the
old-fashioned way and pouring a little
apple cider to wash it all down.
The beans are started early in the
morning in a large cast iron pot. They
simmer over an open fire throughout the
day. As portions are taken out to feed the
crowds more beans are added to the brew.
