stock as possible. We are not into the
performance cars.”
Because of the exhibit’s aforementioned
mobility there is no pre-registration to be
involved. “I don’t know what’s going to be
there,” he says, adding, that quite often
people phone about the eligibility but other
than that it’s open.
Having been one of the many people
attracted to the Reunion and pulled back
year after year. Squires credits much of its
success to its social aspects. Noting that
many ot the long-time Reunion devotees are
aging, Squires credits organizers for their
"supreme efforts” in finding ways to make
their mobility around the fairgrounds as easy
as possible, encouraging their attendance
year after year.
Also, there is the tented city and
entertainment which contribute to the down
home hospitality, the Reunion’s ability to
play host to thousands and guarantee a good
time for all. “The camping and music are a
big part of this. There are people I know that
I may only see at this time of the year. We
share the same interest and I think that
spreads through the whole show. It’s a club.”
“It’s a very, very friendly show, something
I have never experienced at any of the
others. Everyone seems to talk to everyone
else.”
