Marking the occasion Van Camps celebrate 50th Clare and Gladys Van Camp celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at an open house, Aug. 21. ALLAN SIEMON Mr. Allan Siemon, 56, of RR5, Mitchell, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999. Bom in Stratford on Jan. 9, 1943, he was a son of the late John E. Siemon and the former Georgena Eisler. On Oct. 8, 1965, he was mar­ ried to Geraldine McTaggart. Following their marriage, the couple farmed on the family farm at Lot 29, Cone. 6 of Logan Twp. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Logan where he had served as an elder and trustee. Currently, he was a director for the Ontario Bean Producers Marketing Board, a member of the Ontario Agricultural Commodity Council, co-chair of the Logan Township Sesquicentennial Committee, past chairmar. of the Ontario Bean Producers Marketing Board, past president of the Brodhagen Chamber of Commerce and Mitchell Curling Club and past director of the Mitchell Figure Skating Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Geraldine Siemon, two daughters Angela Siemon of Seaforth and her special friend Jeff Badley of Mitchell and Andrea Siemon of Toronto and her special friend Rick Moyer of Guelph, two brothers Ken Siemon of Mitchell and Ralph Siemon and his wife Carol of RR5, Mitchell, a sister Doreen Madge and her husband Keith ot Thorndale, his mother-in-law Mary McTaggart of Goderich, a sister-in-law Yvonne Knight and her husband Leslie of RR3, Brussels and six nieces and three nephews. • He was predeceased by his father- in-law and mother-in-law Allan and Phyllis McTaggart. Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service was held at First Lutheran Church, West Perth (Logan) on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. E. Radke and Rev. James Anderson officiating. During the service Bob Tam and Bob Book spoke in tribute of Allan. Renata Rose presided at the organ. Flowerbearers were Don Beuermann, Barry McCusker, Hugh Dietz, Bill Harmer, Ken Flanagan, Tony Bouw, Luke Schoonderwoerd and John Saman. Pallbearers were Bob Tam, Bill Beuermann. Roy Beuermann, Bruce Coghlin, Keith Siemon and Maynard Hoegy. Interment in First Lutheran Cemetery. LAURENCE JAMES DAVIS Laurence James Davis passed away peacefully at Brampton Memorial Hospital Campus on Aug. 15, 1999 in his 80th year. He was the beloved husband of 54 years of Ruth (Wheeler). He was the dear father of Bob and his wife Ri 11a of Mississauga, and Susan Kosmack and her husband Jim of Toronto. He will be sorely missed by his beloved grand-children Jessica, Sarah and Margaret Kosmack, and Ian and Stephen Davis. Mr. Davis is also survived by his brothers Carmen and Eric of London, Ontario. A funeral service was held on Aug. 18 in Brampton, followed by cremation. MILDRED MABEL YUILL Mildred Mabel (Stokes) (Elliott) Yuill of Belgrave, formerly of Ailsa Craig, passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999. She was in her 73rd year. She was the beloved wife of Clarence Yuill and the late Mitchell Elliott who predeceased her in 1971. She was the dear mother of Linda and John Lichtenberger of St. Thomas, Bruce and Lenor Elliott of Plan Ahead for........... Clare and Gladys (Campbell) Van Camp celebrated their 50th anniversary with family and friends at an open house held at Belgrave WI Hall, Aug. 21. The couple was wed Sept. 10, 1949 at Knox United Church in Belgrave with Rev. Wesley Moores officiating. Mrs. Yuill is also survived by sev­ eral nieces and nephews. Mrs. Yuill rested at the T. Stephenson and Son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig where the funeral serv­ ice was held on Sunday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Pastor Don Lively officiating. Interment was at Naim Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy dona­ tions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mrs. Mildred Yuill. BILL MOSES William Thomas Moses of Brussels passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999. He was in his 61st year. Glen Van Camp, Donald Campbell and the late Jack Van Camp. The newlyweds honeymooned in northern Ontario. The Van Camps farmed in Mor­ ris Twp. and were rural mail carri­ ers out of Belgrave for 12 years. They retired to Brussels in 1994. They raised one daughter, Nancy Jardin, Belgrave, and two sons, Keith of Cayley AB., and Kevin of London. They are the proud grand­ parents of six grandchildren and tional Plowing Match. Bill and Lillian married in December of 1976 and resided on the farm where Bill was raised. They later sold the farm and moved into Brussels. Bill delivered mail to the rural area and ran the Brewer’s Retail Bottle Return Depot up until his illness. Bill was a member of Western Star Lodge No. 149 IOOF, Morning Star Rebekah Lodge No. 315, and belonged to all orders of the Oddfellows. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Lillian, his stepchildren Rose Glanville and her husband David of Listowel and George Ball and his wife Julie of Stratton, his brother Archie Moses of Blyth and his sister Katherine Moses of London. Also loved by his grandchildren Earl, Tina, Jonathon, and Michael and by his mother-in-law Ada Brittain. Friends were received by the fam­ ily from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels, where the funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Cathrine Campbell of Melville Presbyterian Church officiating. Carrying floral tributes were Bill one great-granddaughter. They are members of St. John’s Anglican Church. Mr. Van Camp is a member of the Belgrave Orange Lodge, the Blyth Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Bran­ don Cemetery board and was a member of Morris Twp, council from 1978 to 1982. Mrs. Van Camp is an active member of the Belgrave WI and was organist at Trinity United Church in Belgrave for 22 years. Match Special Edition.
