McKillop Twp. council was pre
sented with a proposal for a fitness
complex at the Aug. 4 meeting.
Terry Johnston, representing a
group from Seaforth, said the
school board currently sets up and
takes down for any meetings held
in the gym at the board office at
Seaforth District High School.
The group proposes that the
board is given the space and the
gym facility is moved.
A structure supplied by Cover-
All would cost $650,000 to
$700,000, said Johnston.
Council had questions about the
option of a brick and mortar build
ing and liability.
Johnston said he is just making
council aware of the facility and
was looking for support of the
endeavor. He hoped a letter could
be forwarded to Lome Rachlis,
Director of Education at the Avon
Maitland District School Board.
A motion was passed supporting
