I think that some of us were beginning to wonder if we’d be stuck in the eighth grade forever. This has been a long year due to all the waiting for this very night to roll around. We’ve been talking about graduation since September. All of the time, effort, and money that has been put into tonight has made it very special. Everyone here has made this night possible. Our futures are starting tonight. Some of us have been together since kindergarten. We’ve gone from nap time to standardized math tests and yearbooks. We’ve learned to be more mature, independent and self confident. We’ve also somehow managed to learn to help out students younger than us. I know that there are going to be some adults in this audience who have a hard time believing that, but it’s the truth. This covers every thing from cleaning up their toys, to starting computer programs to help ing out with meal days. We even organized a special day for all the munchkins to play outside while some of us were at track and field. For the past year, we’ve been at the top of the school. Now we prac tically have to start from kinder garten again! Some of us can’t wait to get to high school, others are, well, not so enthusiastic. We’ve all chosen our academic and applied courses, now there’s just the matter of making it through the classes. This is going to involve meeting new challenges which will, let’s just say, be interesting. Not that we’re not looking for- Class of 1999 — Back row, from left: Lee Prescott, Mark Caldwell, Steven Van Amersfoort, Kirk Stewart, Micah Loder, Cole Stewart, Bradley Schmidt, Andrew Toll.
