REGINALD THOMAS SKINNER Reginald Thomas Skinner of Walton, formerly of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged on Thursday, April 22. 1999 in his 101st year. He was the beloved uncle of Anne Ryan and her husband Gerald of Walton, great-uncle of Paul Ryan and his wife Cheryl of Walton, Chris Ryan of Brussels and Michael Ryan and his wife Kathy of Goderich. He was the brother-in-law of Freeda Skinner of Brussels. Mr. Skinner is also fondly remembered by three great-great­ nephews and two great-great- nieces. Reginald was predeceased by his loving wife Pearl (Allan) in 1972, his twin brother Frank of Brussels in 1979, his brother Ron and sisters Edith, Connie and Dorothy, all of Hove, Sussex, England and one great-niece, Mary Alice Ryan of Walton. Reginald was bom in Port Slade, Sussex, Eng. on April 3, 1899 and came to Canada in 19I6. He spent most of his years living in Hamilton, until 1992 when he came to live with"his niece Anne and her husband Gerald in Walton. In July 1998 Reg moved to HuronleaHome for the Aged in Brussels, until his recent illness. Family received friends at the J.B Marlatt Funeral Home-at 6I5 Main St. E. Hamilton on Monday, April 26 from 12 until 2 p.m., followed by the funeral service with Rev. Sonia Ireson of St. David's - Fairfield United Church, Hamilton, officiating. Interment was in the Hamilton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Ryan, Chris Ryan, Michael Ryan, David Allen, Bruce Taylor and Kevin Robins. MAGDALENA LEIBOLD Magdalene Leibold of Hanover, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, Hanover on Monday, April 26, 1999. She was 93. Born in Ipsheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Johan and Barbara (Hoppel) Hartlehnert. Mrs. Leibold is survived by daughter, Christina Leibold of Hamilton, sons Harold and his wife Marjorie Leibold of Kitchener, Dr. Rudy and his wife Joan Leibold of Ingersoll and grandchildren Anne, David, John and fiance Tina, Lori and husband Raj, Jeffrey and Jenny, Bruce, Michael, Heidi and Jason. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Germany. Mrs. Leibold was predeceased by husband John Leibold, six sisters and one brother, all of Germany. Visitation is at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday at I 1 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Annette Smith will officiate. Interment is in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Calderwood, Ontario. Memorial donations to the St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church or the charily of one's choice will be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. W. Wawanosh cancels light At the April 6 meeting, West Wawanosh councillors cancelled the installation of an extra light on Albert Street in Dungannon as an existing light will provide adequate lighting when proper tree trimming is carried out. A quote from Banner Construc­ tion Inc. of Lion's Head for 50 West Wawanosh flags, at a cost of $27.90 each, was accepted. The tender from Bernard Boyle of RR2, Auburn for a land rental was accepted by council. Boyle will rent Part North Part Lot 24, Cone. 6 of West Wawanosh Twp., ’» at a cost of $ 1,500 per year for five years. Authorization was given for the payment of the outstanding Huron County levy of $847.66. Council supported a resolution from the Twp. of Bagot, Blythfield and Brougham, to ensure that Ontario Hydro's assessment will be appealed on the same basis as every other ratepayer in Ontario.
