Starting anew
Rose deBoer sits at the sewing machine as she works on
an order for upholstery work. deBoer took over Brad
Montgomery’s business and will soon be running Rose
Upholstery from her home on County Rd. 25 near Blyth.

deBoer will continue to refurbish
chairs and couches as Montgomery
did and will also sew other items
such as curtains.
Rose Upholstery provides a
selection of material from which
clients may choose or they can
bring in their own fabric, on which
there is a cutting fee, says deBoer.
The material she purchases is
couriered from Scarborough or pur

Asked about her move into the-
new business, deBoer says it was
something she was interested in
and it became available at the right
time.
deBoer, who has school-aged
children, likes the flexibility of
working her own hours and being
able to be at home when needed.
Though currently located in
Montgomery's shop at 557 Morris
St., deBoer will be moving the
