The next shoot is on Friday,
April 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Many women attended the fifth
Women's Day Out at the Blyth
Memorial Hall on Saturday, April
10 with the theme "Home Sweet
Home" sponsored by the Blyth
United Church Women.
After registration the ladies
enjoyed delicious loaves, coffee
and juice. Special music was
provided by "The Way Band".
The motivational speaker for the
day was Barbara Hicks (Spoony).
Becky Campbell, registered
massage therapist showed the
ladies various exercises.
OPP Const. Don Shropshall,
gave a very interesting talk on
protecting one's self as well as
property by discouraging potential
criminals. This includes interior
and exterior security.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION
AND
NOTICE OF WRITTEN HEARING
FRANCHISE APPROVAL FOR
THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF McKILLOP
An Application dated March 15, 1999 has been filed by
Union Gas Limited ("Union") with the Ontario Energy Board
("the Board") under the Municipal Franchises Act, R.S.O.
1990, c.M.55, as amended. Union has applied for an order of
the Board approving the terms and conditions upon which and
the period for which the Corporation of the Township of
McKillop ("the Municipality") is, by by-law ("the By-law"), to
grant to Union rights to construct and operate works for the
distribution of gas and to extend or add to the works in the
Municipality ("the Franchise Agreement").
Union has also applied for an order of the Board declaring
and directing that the assent of the electors of the Township of
McKillop to the By-law is not necessary.
Union is presently serving the Municipality and holds a
Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (F.B.C. 253)
and an Order of the Board approving the terms and conditions
and the period of a franchise agreement between Union and
the Municipality which will expire on July 31, 1999 (E.B.A.
594).
There have been no boundary changes since the effective
date of the current franchise.
Youth host bingo
The Belgrave Pathfinders hosted
a successful community bingo on
April 1 with proceeds to purchase
needed camping equipment for the
Belgrave Units. Special thanks
goes to the many businesses and
individuals who donated prizes and
helped in any way.
Chocolate Easter bunnies were
won by Trevor Hopf, J. D. Shiell,
Jenni Hopf, Rhonna Shaw, Peter
Moore, Leanne Elston, Matt Cowan
and Lindsay Malhiot. Lucky chair
winners were Mary-Ann Merrick
and Jack Shiell.
Door prize winners include

Board Secretary within 21 days of the publication of this
Notice.
