Jack Stafford, chairman of the hospital board’s resource committee and George Underway, board chairman, had the happy duty of turning the sod. The clinic will be operational by the fall. The Hebrew scripture was taken from Isaiah 52: 13-53 with Psalm 22 being read responsively. John 18: 28, 19-26 was the Gospel reading. The meditation was entitled "The Seven Last Words". The Gordon Folkard family greeted worshippers as they filed into Knox United Church on Easter Sunday, April 4. The Son Shine singers sang The Alphabet Song and Jesus Is the Seniors go bowling There was euchre on Wednesday, March 31 at the Women's Institute Hall. Prizes were given to: high lady, Winnie Boyd; second high lady, Agnes Gaunt; lone hands, Jane Grasby; low lady, Vera Falconer; high man, Stuart Chamney; second high man, Janet Mathers; lone hands, Jean Ross; low man, John Norman. WI plans for rally The executive of the Huron West District Women's Institute was held in Auburn Hall on March 29 at 1:30 p.m. Jean Plaetzer presided. Secretary was Reta Kelland. The annual meeting will be hosted by Maitland to be held May 31 at the Salvation Army Hall, Wingham.
