The sanctuary at Knox United Church, Belgrave was beautifully decorated with fall mums for the 155th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 15. Roger and Debbie Hopper greeted and handed out the bulletins to the many worshippers attending from Trinity and Dungannon to share in the celebration with Belgrave. The call to worship was read responsively followed by special music by Kamden Gillespie, a guest soloist singing while accompanying herself at the piano. Brian had brought with him his “Holy Cow” that was once lost, but now found. He related it to just as Holy Cow was lost so are our children who once came to Sunday school. We need to find them and bring them back. We miss them being part of our church service and Sunday school. Scripture passages were read by Roger Hopper, Timothy 1: 12-27 and Debbie Hopper, Luke 15: 1-10. After the Lord’s Prayer, Kamden Gillespie delighted the congregation with selections. After the parting hymn, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” and the benediction and blessing concluded the worship service. Brian said the grace and everyone went downstairs for lunch and fellowship.
