SALUTE TO McGAVIN'S/JULY 1996 New service centre gets official opening McGavin Farm Equipment will mark 60 years of business with an anniversary celebration July 19. There will also be the official grand opening and ribbon cutting of their new service centre at their Walton location, that same day. Neil and Marie McGavin, their family and staff will hosts an open house following the ribbon cutting. Later there will be a barbecue for staff and suppliers at the family farm. The evening will be capped off at 9 p.m. by a dance open to all friends, neighbours and customers in the new building. The new facility, 11,000 square foot facility is the latest evidence of the growth of the business. Ten years ago, McGavins showed everyone their appreciation in a similar way when 200 people helped their Walton landmark celebrate its golden year of business.
