obtain an arts and science degree in

A graduate of Central Huron
Secondary School, Lindsay will be
attending the University of
Waterloo to study Honours Co-op
Accountancy.
She is the daughter of Jim and
Marg Anderson of RR I ,
Londesboro.
PAULA ALLEN
Paula, a graduate of Central Huron
Secondary School, will be
attending the University of Guelph
to study sociology with hopes of
pursuing a teaching career.
She is the daughter of Keith and
Nancy Allen of Londesboro.
TODD SHADDICK
A graduate of Central Huron
Secondary School, Todd plans to
attend the University of Waterloo
to pursue Honours Arts Ac-
countancy studies.
He is the son of Robert and Donna
Shaddick of Londesboro.
ERICA CLARK
Erica, daughter of Lavern and Jean
Clark of Blyth, graduated from
Central Huron Secondary School
with an 87 per cent average.
She will attend the University of
Guelph to obtain a Bachelor of
Science degree, specializing in bio-
medical science.
MARCY MCCALL
Marcy, the daughter of Murray
and Sherry McCall of RR4,
Walton, is a graduate of Seaforth
District High School. At McMaster
University, she will study
kinesiology, hoping to becoming a
sports medicine doctor/trainer,
after graduate school.
JULIE GLAUSER
A graduate of Seaforth District
High School, Julie is the daughter
of Charles and Judith Glauser of
RR I, Walton.
She will study honours math at the
University of Waterloo with hopes
of pursuing a high school math
teaching career.

Area students make CHSS honour role
The July meeting of Londesboro
WI was held on Monday, July 8 at
2 p.m. It was held at Huronview.
Lois opened with a thought on
nature. This was followed by the
Opening Ode and Mary Stewart
Collect. Roll call was answered by

Doris Batkin spoke on the history
of Huronview. Helen Dale spoke
on the village of Londesboro and
some of the things done in 1995-
1996. Lois then read an article on
the Women's Institute.

councils will call for a special

from $8.40 to $9.10 and commer-
cial rates from $4.40 to $4.55.
A letter of support was sent to the
Huron County engineer with
regards to the request for Rural
Response for Healthy Children
signs, in Kinbum.
Accounts, in the amount of
$382,739.34 were approved for
payment.
Several issues were discussed at
earlier meetings, as well.
Council supports Blyth council in
their bid for education tax collec-
tion reform and sent a letter to Min-
ister of Education John Snobelen
stating their intentions.
R.J. Burnside and Associates will
apportion assessment for Pollard
and Tamblyn Drainage Works for
Lot 18, Conc. 13, due to severance.
There were no objections to the
sale of used vehicles at Lot 27,
Conc. 4, on the condition no more
than two vehicles are for sale at any
one time.
The value of mammography in
women under age 50 remains
controversial. Screening before age
50 is a decision that should be
made by a woman and her doctor.
