Stupidity.
It was the only explanation Den-
nis Hallahan, RR3, Blyth, could
offer regarding his charge of mis-
chief, which he pled guilty to in
Wingham's provincial court, June
19.
Crown Attorney Mary
Dionysakopoulos told presiding
Judge Gary Hunter that Hallahan
had been doing "donuts" on the
East Wawanosh school lawn until
his Monte Carlo became buried to
the wheclwells. A neighbour called
police after seeing two men trying
to push the car out.
Damage was estimated at
$385.26.
Judge Hunter fined Hallahan,
who pled guilty to the charge,
$500 or 25 days in jail. He was
placed on probation for six months
and was ordered to make restitution
or repair the damage to the satisfac-
tion of the Huron County Board of
Education within that time period.
"If repairs are not made or you
haven't paid you'll be back before
me," Hunter warned.
