Special remembrance
It was a very special occasion for Kathy Burkholder as she accepted a plaque dedicated to
her late father, Ted Elliott, who gave years of service to the 2967 Brussels Royal Canadian
Army Cadets. Captain John Grobbo, left, who presented Burkholder with the plaque, said
her father "was a great friend of the corps. He was always available to talk over problems
and to help. He was a great supporter of youth." Elliott had been involved with the cadets for
more than 15 years. Brussels Legion President Rick McDonald was on hand for the
presentation.
