Fed steers, heifers sell steady
The sales at Brussels Livestock
for the week ending Dec. 19 were:
fed cattle, 613; cows, 336; veal and
bob calves, 513; lambs and goats,
487; stockers, 1,876.
$97.44 with sales to $100. Twenty-
five heifers consigned by Marley
Farms Ltd., Teeswater, averaging
1,271 lbs. sold for an average of
$89.94 with sales to $99.75.
Schrock Jr., Chesley, averaging
1,132 lbs. sold for an average of
$53.16 with sales to $61.
There were 15 bulls on offer
selling from $43.50 to $57 to the
high of $68. One limo bull
consigned by Les Bluhm, Chesley,
weighing 1,295 lbs. sold for $68.
One blue bull consigned by Jerry
Cronin, Dublin, weighing 1,820
lbs. sold for $65.
There were 513 veal and bob
calves on offer: Beef Veal sold $95
to $134; Holstein Veal, $90 to
$108; Plain Holstein, $75 to $90.

a steady trade. Cows traded steady.
Veal and lambs both were trading
on a good active steady trade. All
classes of stockers sold steady.

Alliston, weighing 1,330 lbs. sold
for $106.75. Twenty-two steers
