WISHING YOU AN \ EXTRAORDINARY HOLIDAY SEASON A comer for everyone In the Scott home, everyone has a special corner for them. With as many as six live trees adorned for the season, even the children have their spot. There, Santa keeps on the train which helps him move Christmas gifts. Christmas is a time of awe and wonder, and we hope your season is extra special. A love for the season and the beautiful decorations which adorn homes and trees has turned into a social event for two Blyth-area sis ters. Deanna Snell of Hullett Twp. and Wilma Scott of East Wawanosh Twp., once owners of Christmas and Country in the village, will turn their passion for the Christmas sea son into a tour for families, when they open their homes, Dec. 29, for public viewing. Though having considered tours for several years, Scott and Snell first spoke seriously about the idea just last year. Scott, who last year had six, dec orated, live trees in her home, was receiving requests from friends and neighbours to bring tours by for a glimpse of the holiday trimmings. Instead of having guests drop by at various times throughout the sea son, the sisters decided to organize the evening event. The Snell home, located on Cone. 12/13 of Hullett Twp., is adorned with classic touches and unique decorating ideas in each room. Snell recounts memories from specific pieces and how the tree in the hall retains those family momentoes gathered over the years. For Scott, in a wonderful farm house more than 130 years old, on [ Nature Centre Road, the warmth and charm of a country Christmas comes through. The large white pines cut from Scott's woodland enhance the 4 kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom and upper hall. Even the bathroom has a small tree befitting the surrounding. Scott says she replaces more trees each year then are ever cut for | her holiday decorations. She selects the trees because of I their shape, finding ones with larg er holes for the living room so she can set in large ornaments, while the dining room tree is more classi cal in design. Even the youngsters have a spe cial spot as the upper hall tree sits next to a train which helps Santa I move his gifts., I Continued on page 4 4 \ . > Afrzy you experience fx the season and all the joy, warmth and happiness it holds in store.
