Reason to celebrate

A long time ago, Joseph and his
wife, Mary lived in Nazareth. They
hadn't any children, but they had a
donkey.
One day an angel came to their
small house. "God has chosen you
to have your first child Mary".
After that news, Mary was very
excited!
Mary and Joseph had to go to
Bethlehem to pay all of their taxes.
So they rode their donkey all the
way to Bethlehem. When they
arrived at Bethlehem it was very
late at night and they were very
tired.
The innkeeper said there wasn't
any room at the inn so they slept in
the stable. In the stable there was a
cow, a lamb, a goat and a dove.
The animals let them use their hay
for a bed.
That same night, Mary didn't get
any sleep at all! Her baby was bom.
Mary wrapped Him up to keep Him
warm.
Nearby, shepherds were
watching their sheep and they saw
the same angel as before appear in
front of the shepherds. The angel
told them there was a new baby
bom in the stables. "He is named
Jesus Christ and he is our Lord."
After that, the shepherds went to
see Him. In the manger is where He
lay. As they saw Him they were
filled with joy and they told
everyone about Him!
Far away lived three wise men.
They saw a new star so the three
wise men followed the star. They

knew the star was a sign that their
Lord was bom.
The star led them on their way to
Bethlehem. It was right above
Jesus' stable. The three wise men
knelt before "Baby Jesus" and gave
Him gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Everyone was filled with a lot of
joy. The animals even seemed to
know what was happening. They
knew how special He was.
That's why every year we
celebrate Christmas Day. It's to
remind us of the good news of
God's love to the world!
