Starting off the scoring for Brussels was Matt White with assists going to Greg Bowers and Chase Chapman. White netted another before the end of the first period, assisted by Bowers and Mitch Blake. Chris Corbett scored, assisted by Cory Chapman and Christopher Jutzi, then Zurich got on the board. Brussels came out hard in the third with White getting his hattrick, assisted by Adam McClure and Chase Chapman. Next Corbett put one in, assisted by Adam Corbett and Cory Chapman. Zurich then got their second and final goal of the game. Bowers netted one assisted by White and McClure. White then scored his fourth and final goal of the game with assists going to McClure and Bowers. Brussels then went to Clifford for a tournament playing game one against Elora on Dec. 6. Brussels won 8-0. Scoring for Brussels were McClure with the winning goal assisted by Chase Chapman. Jutzi had one, C. Corbett had three, Cory Blyth Tykes A runners-up Two wins put Blyth Tyke Bull­ dogs in the running for the A cham­ pionship at the Monkton tournament this past Saturday. In their first game Tony Bean led the way scoring two of the three goals as they edged Clinton 3-2, in sudden death overtime. With their opponents ahead by two going into the third period, Derek Youngblut notched the first Blyth goal of the game, assisted by Matthew Stevenson. Bean got his first to tie it with just over three minutes left in the game, then drilled home the winner at the 1:59 mark of the extra period. The next match-up was against Bayfield, whom they trounced 8-2. Bean started things going with a shot early in the first. Then Lee Watkins, assisted by Katie McClinchey, and Youngblut, off the stick of Johnathon McDowell gave them a tliree-point edge going into the second period. Game two was played against Hanover with Brussels winning 8- 1. Starting the scoring for Brussels was White. Cory Chapman was the next scorer with assists going to C. Corbett and Jutzi. The second period C. Corbett came out and got two goals, with one assist going to Cory Chapman. McClure finished off the scoring in the second assisted by White. Hanover scored half-way through the period. In the third C. Corbett came out and got two more quick goals, one assisted by White. McClure finish­ ed off Brussels scoring unassisted. Game three was the "A" Championship game against Mount Forest. Brussels made a great effort but came up short losing 6-2. Scoring for Brussels were C. Corbett, assisted by Jutzi, and McClure netted one unassisted. Kyle Gibson and Andrew McDonald shared goaltending. They both played excellent games and made some good saves. A great job was done by the entire team. into the next period, with help from Ken Plunkett, only to have Bay- field cancel it two minutes later. Bayfield got within two before the period ended. Youngblut was hot, however, bending the twine twice, assisted by McDowell and Byron Broome. Then Bean snuck one in just before Youngblut cashed in another off the stick of Matthew Stevenson to end the scoring. It was a tough Goderich squad the team found themselves up against in their third game and gave up a 9-1 contest. Youngblut, with help from McDowell sunk the lone Blyth marker. The next day the team travelled to Seaforth where they again came up on the short side of the stick, losing 5-2 to their hosts.
