Students at Blyth Public School took advantage of the book fair to purchase some reading
material while parents had the opportunity to do a little Christmas shopping. Browsing
through the assortment, under the watchful eye of staff member Mrs. Hulley, are Mark

Swinging Seniors enjoy meal
The Blyth Swinging Seniors held
their Christmas dinner in the Blyth
Memorial Hall on Nov. 26 at noon.
The Ladies' Auxiliary catered
and this was much enjoyed by all.
A Christmas sing-song followed
led by Vera Badley and Harv
McDowell. Happy Birthday was
sung to Reg Schultz and Graeme
McDowell.
Brock Vodden introduced the
speaker, Dr. Brian Baker of
Clinton. Dr. Baker received his
education in the British Isles and
retired last September. He now is
active in the CCAC, "Community
Care Access Centre. They are there
to help seniors know what help is
available. They can tell who is
eligible, how much nursing care is

required and also have therapists
available to come into the home.
There are many choices now in
health care and CCAC is there to
help. It is hoped many seniors will
avail themselves of this
information.
