Grade
SMARTIE PANTS
By Taylor Hesselwood
Blyth P.S.’s Grade Is have been
doing activities using colours such
as making rainbows and mixing
colours.
In the next two weeks they will
be doing many activities using
"Smarties". They are also expecting
a special package from Nestle
containing more activities
involving Smarties. Hopefully, they
will be able to sample some of
these tasty treats!
The Grade 1 class has published
three big books already this year.
They are very proud of these books
which contain many beautiful
illustrations. The children were
quite excited when Jessica
Sparling's mother brought in a
friend who had a pet lemur. A
lemur looks like a monkey but
doesn't belong to the ape family.
They have been learning about
letters and have been doing fun
actions with the sounds. They have
also been singing many songs.
Their favourite song is called "The
Native Song".
Last but not least, they have
already started a countdown to
Christmas!
GRADE 3/4 HAS GONE
BATTY!
By Scott McLellan
Mrs. Wise-Hellmuth's Grade 3/4
class has gone batty! Throughout
the month of October, they
researched and presented projects
on every kind of bat imaginable.
You can catch a glimpse of these
projects on the wall outside their
classroom at Blyth Public School.
In November this class will be
taking on the challenges of
"Nutrition", "The Human Body"
and "Building a Skeleton".
On Remembrance Day the Grade
3/4 Brownies and Cubs were able
to wear their uniforms to the
Memorial Hall and participate in
the parade. The rest of the class
also attended the service.
