In an away game at Elma-Logan on Nov. 6, the team captured a 5-2 victory from their hosts With Matt McLellan and Andy Van Beek scoring for the visitors and Cory Broughton notching two for his side, the teams went into the second period tied. Marc Fischer got the assist on the McLellan goal. From there on the story was all Brussels as Fischer launched two in On Nov. 3, Blyth hosted Milverton in their home opener. The Bulldogs saw early they were in for a tough game, as Milverton came out skating hard and hitting everybody. Milverton led 3-1 late in the second period, before Blyth scored in the last minute to make it 3-2. That goal seemed to bring life to the local team as they scored four third-period goals to win 6-4. Blyth scorers were M. Anderson, Bromley, A. Anderson, Cook, Arthur and Toll. Assists went to Arthur and Bromley with two apiece, A. Anderson and Marks. Campbell and Wilson provided steady goaltending for the winners. On Nov. 7 Blyth was back in Mitchell with the home team playing a better game than their first match. Blyth kept chipping away and ended up with a 6-1 victory. Bromley, Ansley and M. Anderson each scored twice to lead the way. Assists were credited to A. Anderson with two, Bernard, Arthur, Cook, Marks, McDougall and Toll. Lee and Wilson combined for the win between the pipes. It was a different game in Clinton two days later, though, with the home team sneaking three between the pipes before Tyler Campbell, off the stick of Kellington got Brus sels on the board. That was the end for the visitors, though the hosts notched one more before the buzzer to take the game 4-1. Saturday night the Bulls travelled to Wiarton for an 8:30 start against the Wolves. The Bulls increased the lead when Craig Morrissey scored, assisted by Josh Cressman and • Grant Jarvis, then 1:03 minutes later the same three hooked up again in a carbon-copy play to make the score 3 - 0 for the Bulls. It wasn't until 7:06 of the third that Wiarton got their first goal and then again 26 seconds later but the Bulls sealed the victory on an empty-net goal by Cressman with 1.7 seconds remaining in the game. This win put the Bulls out of the basement and into fifth place ahead of Mount Forest and Wiarton. The story of the game for the Bulls was injuries. The museum will be documenting Huron County's rich hockey heritage with an exhibit scheduled to run for 18 months starting Jan. 17. The second period will open in April and will display artifacts from the Hockey Hall of Fame and the Royal Canadian Mint. It will focus on Canada's hockey success world-wide and highlight those from Huron who have contributed to that success. The third period will open in March 1999 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Young Canada Week PeeWee hockey tournament in Goderich. The exhibits will celebrate the tournament history and also focus on the growth of the Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA). Check out closets and attics for old hockey relics which could be displayed in this exhibit. YOUR NEWSPAPER: The link to your community went down awkward on his ankle and Darin Alviano got hit by a puck three seconds into the game, which left the Bulls with even less bodies since Andy Agar was out with the flu and Gary Staples is out with a knee injury suffered the week before. Jamie Thomas got the start for the Bulls and was solid in net. After getting into Brussels very early Sunday morning the Bulls loaded onto the bus again for a 1 p.m. start in Walkerton. A win against the Blackhawks would put the Bulls in sole possession of fourth place, but this feat will have to wait for another day. Walkerton scored the first two goals of the game before Brad Brown scored for the Bulls assisted by Jeff Sauve and Mark Wilson to make the score 2-1 after the first period. The Blackhawks went up 4 - 1 when they scored two goals, both on the powerplay, but it was time for the Bulis to stage a come back.
