The third meeting of the Brussels
#1 Cooking Chefs was held on Oct.
20 at the 6:30 p.m.
Missy Engel opened the meeting
with the 4-H pledge. Members
talked about the things they made
at home and how they liked them.
Members then went over the
meeting in their books and learned
about cakes and the history that
goes with them, the conventional
cake method, the egg-foam cake
method, and frostings.
Into the kitchen they went and
made Raisin Spice Cake in the
microwave. Then they split into
two groups; one made white cake
from a mix and the other mad
butter cream icing.
