Blyth council
talks policing
Blyth council discussed policing
options at the Oct. 6 meeting.
After receiving a letter from
Wingham Police Chief Jim Dore,
councillors indicated they were
interested in pursuing an option for
coverage. However, council said
service would only be possible if
contiguous municipalities also
selected the Wingham force to pro
vide police services. Savings, as
outlined in the letter, would not be
realized unless all North Huron
municipalities accepted Wingham
cover’sc, said Councillor Scrim-
geour.♦♦♦
