Madill Secondary School. Students who are attending are asked to be at the school’s main foyer at 7:30 p.m. to fill out an information sheeL Guest speakers attending the ceremony are Colleen Schenk, trustee for the town of Wingham, Huron County Board of Education; Vince Mclnnes, trustee for Huron- Perth Separate School Board; Marie Parsons, acting superin­ tendent of education, Huron County Board; Bob Pike, president of F. E. Madill School Advisory Council; and Peggy Kinsman, Lucknow Presbyterian Church. This year there is a new English Scholarship award in memory of Mrs. Jeanne Oldfield, from Brussels. Also new is a general level award given to a student who is furthering his/her education. This award was created by the Advisory Council. There are approximately 70 awards to be given out to students who attend the ceremony. Students are chosen for the awards by varying criteria, which may be residence, the students* choice of post-secondary programme, what elementary school they attended, and if they are an Ontario Scholar. If political action has closed the school on Friday, Oct. 10, the Commencement will be postponed.
