Thousands take in the sights at the Thresher Reunion
Digging in
Visiting
For visitors to the annual Huron Pioneer Thresher
Reunion in Blyth there is much to see and enjoy. But for
the many volunteers who put together the exhibits and
work on the demonstrations such as this threshing one
throughout the weekend, it's work, work, work.
Anyone who visits the annual Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion and Hobby Show in Blyth
knows that it's more than just the exhibits that attract people — there is a down-home
atmosphere of camaraderie and nostalgia that keeps them coming back by the thousands
year after year.
Living museum
With active machines, hands-on demonstrations and exhibits, the Huron Pioneer Thresher
Reunion and hobby show is a living museum to a bygone era.
Can’t stop dancing
With music all around, there are many spots during the
Thresher Reunion weekend to cut a rug.
What a drag
The tractor pull is just one of several adult special events
at the Thresher Reunion. Things like bag-tieing, log
sawing and belt-setting let people get their hands dirty
trying some old-fashioned methods of farming.
Ready for breaky
The Blyth firefighters were kept busy Saturday and Sunday serving up breakfast for the
hundreds who turned up to enjoy their country-style fare. The meal has become a tradition
during theThresher Reunion weekend.
