Telling the stories to the next generation
Amidst the rows of antique farm equipment, grandfathers wander with their grandchildren, telling them the tales of a
bygone era, when crews of threshers travelled the area, harvesting the year's crop. The Thresher Reunion is a time to
remember the heritage of the land and appreciate the hard work of forefathers

are then used for the construction of
furniture.
There is no waste with a steam-powered
sawmill because the scrap wood is then used
to fire the engine.
The mill used by the Threshers was
donated to the club more than 20 years ago.
It has an all steel track and cuts nice and
true. The mill has a 54-inch blade and an
edger for edging the logs.
The sawmill will be set up near the tractor
pull site, at the southwest side of the park.

Old-world trade at Reunion
The art of the blacksmith is one that is
fading quickly in today’s bustling modem
society. At the Thresher Reunion, however,
its soot and sparks still continue to fly.
The trade of the blacksmith has changed
over the years. No shoes will be put on
horses (that is a job for the farrier.) Instead,
the modern blacksmith creates decorative
iron designs, such as railings, gates, and
furniture, while doing farm repair work at
the same time.
