The hosts were McIntosh Poultry Farms Ltd. and George and Ruth Townsend. Eleven plowers took part in the Junior Match on Thursday, while 30 plowers (10 junior and 20 senior) took part on Friday. There were three horse powers and 11 Queen of the Furrow contestants. A total of 59 lands were plowed. Furrow were present on Friday, from as far away as Niagara Falls. The shirts are ready for the 1999 International Plowing Match to be held in Huron County. You can receive your own copy of the paper and keep up with happenings in your home town. By Corey Rintoul The fifth meeting of the Brussels, Belgrave 4-H Beef Club was held on Monday, Aug. 11 at Kim Higgins's. The 4-H members arrived al Kim's about 7:30 p.m. and headed to the bam to judge sheep. Kim and Paul talked about what you should look for in this type of animal. The members each gave their own reasons for placing the animals the way they did. Kim invited all the members into the house where they discussed the Seaforth Judging Competition on Aug. 19. After talking about the judging competition Kim had menus made up for everyone to judge. We closed the meeting with the 4-H motto. The next meeting for the Brussels, Belgrave 4-H Beef Club will be held on Friday, SepL 5 at Paul Coultes's. f&z' I I -1 We will send The Citizen to students who are away from home for the school year.
