The bats of several players were hot as Trevor Koehler went five for five; David Kelly and Mark Cald well, four for five and Kirk Stewart and Ryan McClinchey, four for six. With one victory in the best-of- three series, Blyth welcomed Teeswater to town three nights later. Teeswater pushed one across in the first with Blyth retaliating with two. The teams traded one and two- run innings through the top of the sixth, resulting in a 6-6 tie. Blyth took control of the game, knocking six runs home for a com manding lead. Teeswater was unable to mount a comeback in the seventh. Stewart and Andy Toll were three for four with the bat while Jamie Ross and Kelly were one for one. One of Toll's hits was a home- run. Blyth took the series in two games and will now advance to the semi-finals against Fullarton.
