EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR HURON UNITED WAY The Huron United Way, serving all of Huron County, is seeking an Executive Director. The United Way office is located in Clinton. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of the day- to-day management of the office, with major emphasis on support for the yearly United Way fall campaign. We are looking for someone who is organized, has proven bookkeeping and clerical skills, the ability to work independently without supervision, and possesses excellent people skills. Previous experience in fund-raising and working with volunteer agencies will be a definite asset. Initially, the position will provide both full and part-time employment. We anticipate full-time employment will be required from at least September to December, and part-time employment from January through August. Salary will be negotiable, based on skills and experience. Resumes, with references, should be sent to the Huron United Way, P.O. Independent Member Broker Rolling through time Belgrave Minor Hockey enthusiasts went rolling along as they participated in the Homecoming parade. Belgrave Squirts win A short-handed Belgrave Squirt Girls came up on the plus side of a 9-5 win over Gow ansiown, July 30. Playing away, Belgrave started with seven runs, scored by Char­ lene Bromley, Jenni Hopf, Sherri Ross, Michelle Cook, Erin Sanders, Emily Elston, Michelle Nixon. The hosts notched two. In the second, Belgrave tagged on one when Cook crossed the plate. Gow ansiown scored the last of their runs in the bottom half, then were held back for the rest of the game. For Belgrave Bromley scored the final run in the third. Pitching were Bromley and Hopf. Ross, Sanders and Elston took turns behind the plate.
