The cermony was held following Sunday's parade and just prior to the Tri-County Reunion games. Horses being a popular attraction at parades, Love's Percherons added an old time feel as they strode through the streets of Brussels for the 125th birthday celebration. Many hands From left, Brad Beale, Bill Clark, Wayne Todd, Arnold DenDekker and Jack McCutcheon were just a few of the hands needed to serve the 600 plus people who turned out for St. John's Anglican Church’s pork chop barbecue at Brussels Homecoming's weekend . Special moment Seaforth Community Hospital and the Brussels-Seaforth Medical Clinic spread joy with yellow balloons during the Sunday parade. Doctors and nurses of *JUSt my SIZC Children along the Brussels Homecoming parade route were thrilled to see the pint-sized cars and bikes driven by Shriners who came from several communities as far away as Sarnia. During the singing of Oh, Canada, former Brussels reeve and businessperson Roy Cousins raised the flag at Brussels Homecoming '97 official opening on Friday night at the Legion. The Legion continued to be an active spot, with breakfast served on Saturday and Sunday mornings and entertainment in the tent throughout the weekend. Stepping through town The Carry On Cloggers from Clinton, including a few Brusselites, brought music and foot­ stomping entertainment to the Brussels Homecoming parade, Aug. 3.
