By Sarah McLellan On Friday, July 4, despite none too pleasant weather conditions, the Cranbrook Cross Trainers ventured to Sportsworld in Kitchener. We left Grey Central Public School at about 8:45 a.m. and arrived at our destination by about 10 a.m. We received power passes which allowed us unlimited mini golf, amusement rides, basketball and water-park. It also entitled us to one go-kart ride, one mountain climb, and one visit to the driving range and batting cages. Because of weather conditions, the waterpark was closed for the day, but there was still lots to do. At about 5 p.m. we all went to McDonalds, for supper. By about 6 p.m. we were on the road again, and we arrived at GCPS al around 7 p.m. Everyone seemed to have a good time, and I'm sure everyone was tired out after the day of fun at Sportsworld.
